Case Companion™

Case Companion™ uses AI to help legal professionals summarize key case details efficiently. It can identify and organize case facts like medical providers, injuries, ICD codes, and treatment histories. It also highlights case strengths, such as sympathetic factors, and potential issues, like gaps in treatment or missed appointments.

Please note that Case Companion™ typically processes files within 10 minutes of upload, though processing time may vary based on file size. Case Companion™ should not be used to generate demands or medical chronologies.

Integration is supported with select case management systems (Litify, Smart Advocate). Reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) who will put you in touch with our integrations team to get you set up. 

Once connected, documents and case data sync automatically from your case management system into the Case Preparation™ and Negotiation Preparation™ tools, reducing manual uploads.

To maximize the benefits of Case Companion™, be specific in your requests. This is especially important when asking for output in a certain format, such as including a salutation and conclusion in an email draft.

It is also beneficial to ask single questions at a time, rather than aggregating multiple questions in a single prompt.

Avoid using the tool for complex mathematical queries (as accuracy may vary) and always use the provided citations to double-check the results.

Case Companion™ streamlines case preparation by extracting critical information, such as a client’s last treatment date, official discharge status, and unresolved issues, ensuring all details are accounted for before drafting or submitting a demand.

It also helps refine case strategies and create clear narratives by generating tailored responses to queries like treatment timelines or provider details, complete with citations to source documents.

Additionally, Case Companion™ offers communication support by drafting professional emails to clients or adjusters.

You can refine or adjust responses as needed, such as adding ICD codes or grouping treatments by provider, saving valuable time while ensuring accuracy and professionalism.

Case Companion™ streamlines preparation for settlement negotiations by analyzing case files and providing tailored and evidence-based insights. It can identify potential arguments an adjuster might use to challenge a claim and suggest counterarguments to strengthen your case.

For specific focus areas, such as the impact of a plaintiff’s pre-existing conditions or the severity of their injuries, you can request detailed analyses with inline citations to the relevant documents. The AI adapts to your preferences, allowing you to generate and refine arguments efficiently.

Once satisfied with the output, you can easily copy and use the information in negotiations, documentation, or other casework, ensuring accuracy and saving time.
