Zaria Turner joined EvenUp in July 2023 as a Sales Development Representative (SDR)—one of the earliest members of the team.
Over the next few months, she played a pivotal role in shaping the inbound SDR function, working closely with marketing and cross-functional teams.
Her dedication and ability to adapt quickly earned her a transition into a Customer Success Manager (CSM) role in October 2024—making her the first internal hire to move from Sales to Customer Success. Zaria now manages a portfolio of 170 small business accounts across the country.
Her shift into customer success underscores EvenUp’s commitment to career growth and internal mobility, allowing employees to expand their expertise and thrive in new roles. Zaria has also made it her personal goal to bridge the gap and enhance collaboration between Sales and Customer Success.
Championing Client Relationships with Empathy and Impact
As a CSM, Zaria focuses on helping clients maximize the value of EvenUp’s AI-powered solutions. She emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships and understanding each law firm's unique challenges.
"Some of my proudest moments are when clients tell me how much we’re helping them—how they can take on more cases or free up time to focus on other aspects of their business," she shares.
Beyond driving customer success, Zaria takes pride in being an extension of her clients’ teams.
"There’s no secret trick to this job—people buy from people. It’s all about connection and trust."
Her ability to cultivate meaningful partnerships has resulted in notable upsell opportunities and deeper client engagement with EvenUp’s expanding suite of legal tech solutions.
The Power of AI in Legal Tech
Before joining EvenUp, Zaria had never worked in the legal space, but she quickly developed an appreciation for the company’s mission to revolutionize personal injury law.
"I always knew AI was a big deal, but working here has helped me understand its ethical applications—especially how we’re using AI to enhance, not replace, human expertise."
She acknowledges that AI can be a controversial topic, but seeing the careful innovation behind EvenUp’s platform has given her confidence in its value.
"Some firms try other AI tools and tell me, ‘Yeah, we got our documents faster, but we had to make a lot of edits.’ That’s where EvenUp stands out—we focus on quality and continuously improve the product to truly support legal professionals."
Thriving in a Remote-First Culture
Based in Dallas, Zaria works fully remotely, which she says has made her more productive than ever.
"I’ve done hybrid and in-office roles before, but this is the most efficient I’ve ever been. It’s about finding the right balance for the role and the individual."
Remote work allows her to be highly accessible to clients while maintaining the flexibility needed to manage a fast-paced portfolio.
EvenUp’s culture also fosters strong collaboration, even in a virtual environment.
"There’s a real sense of innovation and teamwork here. I love that we’re always pushing boundaries—never complacent, always looking for ways to make things better."
Looking to the Future
Zaria envisions EvenUp serving as a one-stop shop for personal injury firms around the world.
"EvenUp could have stayed focused just on AI-powered demand letters and medical chronologies, but we’re constantly evolving. With new innovations like our workflow and insights suite of products, we’re becoming a one-stop shop for law firms. It’s exciting to be part of that growth."
From piloting new roles to deepening client relationships, Zaria’s journey at EvenUp is a testament to the company’s commitment to both employee development and industry transformation.
"The future here is bright, and I can’t wait to see what’s next."
